It was an opportunity to renew the congratulations of my government and the constant support of Italy to Lebanon and its government. We discussed the regional situation and the bilateral relations. I informed the Prime Minister about our intense training program in support of the Lebanese armed forces. Italy is now a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, and the rotating president of the G7, therefore we have one more reason to work with the Lebanese government on international issues.
